About CCC Calvary Parish 1.

CCC Calvary 1 Parish, formerly known as Orile Aguda Parish, was established in August 1980 by its pioneer Shepherd-in-Charge, Sup Evang Joshua Ogunorunlaiyede, who was guided by the Holy Spirit to start a church. Evang Joshua left a promising career in the financial sector to lay the foundation for this vast community, which began with approximately 30 members and has since grown to thousands of members over the years. It is located on a 2-acre land in the heart of Lagos state, Nigeria.

The church property, which was once a muddy, swampy area, has now been transformed into a modern architectural masterpiece. The property boasts of several structures, including the Auditorium, the Shepherd’s House, the White House, the Pavilion, Children’s Church, the Parochial Office, Media Office, the Secretariat, the Sepulchre, the Shopping Centre, modernized toilets and bathrooms, and an expansive car park.

The Parish is widely recognized for preaching God’s Word of Life, which provides various solutions to different life challenges. We are witnesses of God’s amazing grace manifested in healings, supernatural turnarounds, changes of status, divine restoration, business breakthroughs, favor, abundance, longevity, wealth, and more. Truly, the grace of God is abundant within this place, and His presence envelops us each day.

Following the passing of Ogunorunlaiyde, the church has been led by two successive shepherds – Venerable Superior Ebenezer Oshoffa, who led for approximately four years, and presently, Prophet K. S. Adeyinka. Both leaders have demonstrated remarkable leadership abilities. The current shepherd has a passion for both the elderly and the youth and envisions Calvary Parish 1 as a transformative force for individuals seeking to live a virtuous life not only with God but also in their personal lives.

Several significant parishes were birthed by Calvary 1 Parish, including:

Who are we?

Calvary Parish has been designed from its inception to be a community church, where every member is considered a stakeholder. The church is not the possession of any one individual, but instead belongs to Christ, the Chief Cornerstone, and this has promoted both growth and continuity.

We are a community that encourages every individual to thrive, regardless of their background or circumstances. Our church believes in the importance of empowering our women, who have been ordained as chosen vessels, they remain a blessing to others with their spiritual gifts and wisdom. Many have become prophetesses, prayer warriors, marriage counsellors, interpreters of tongues, and more.

Our youth also excel in their chosen fields of endeavor, as Calvary Parish 1 serves as an incubation center for discovering and nurturing destinies. We provide an enabling environment where our young people can grow, learn, and hone their skills, enabling them to pursue their dreams and aspirations.

At Calvary Parish, we foster a strong sense of community and promote the belief that we are all equal in the eyes of God. We strive to create an atmosphere where everyone feels welcomed, valued, and supported in their spiritual journey. This approach has enabled us to build a strong, vibrant, and diverse church community, where each person is empowered to live out their God-given purpose.
